Undertaker returns — Summerslam 2009 — A look

Lets get to the point striaght. Smackdown has been giving some amazing matches in the recent times, thanks to John Morrison, Selton, Punk, Ziggler, Rey, Jeff and Jericho… But it still lacks that ONE BIG NAME to run the main event, and the return of the Undertaker is the most desperately wanted thing for the show.

Now just look at C M Punk, he is playing an amazing heel/tweener role here … I mean, he gets all the heat but justifies his stand. Unlike his first champion reign, he could cut some interesting promos this time and give some good matches with Jeff. He just got himself into the position of next big thing of Smackdown so quickly and all he needs now is a feud with Undertaker.

With the above two things said, its kind of so obvious that Undertaker should return and feud with CM Punk. But, now the return of Undertaker leaves us with a couple of questions
1) Is Undertaker character beating C M Punk after such a brutal match with Jeff, that too in ambushed way like that, justified ?

2) Is the question,’ why Undertaker chose Punk ‘ justified ?

Question 1-
I would say, it was fair. I mean the crowd had treated Undertaker as a big face through out his career, but the way they show im was always as a tweener. For instance, if there is a group of face and heels , he comes and beats down all of them, unlike typical Faces who teams up with the other faces to beat down the other heels. He never bothers about his name and been some one who takes immense pleasure in beating down the other guy. So if Undertaker has decided Punk is his next target, then he has no hesitation in doing so.

Question 2-
Why Punk ? What did Punk do wrong ?
ok lets analyse some of the possible reasons…

1) Is Undertaker after the world title ?

Ok, if its so, then What Undertaker should have done is, playing some mind games, a stare down, a throat cross signal… what more ?? He does not believe in weakening his opponents before the match.

2) Is the fact that he also lost his title via Money in the bank some time back is STILL Hurting ?

When he lost the title, his first target was Mark Henry and not Edge.. If u watch clearly, you can find that his attention went to Edge only after his interference at Survivor Series match. He does not think so bad that Punk used his OPPORTUNITY, after all that he did earn it with a fight.

3) Did Undertaker have enough of Punk ?
Hey, wait what did Punk do wrong ? He has some problem with the lifestyle of Jeff and putting it clearly, and he believed that for the same reason Jeff can never make it big … Is it wrong ? He is not having any problems with the others in the show .. AND, more importantly, he won a match fair and clear , and the match is supposingly a match where Jeff has the advantage 😉

Now, the very fact that showing Undertaker and making him chokeslam would make the crowd happier has gone to the level that WWE creative team killed the character of Undertaker 😦

Matt vs Jeff Hardy Wrestlemania 25 2009 detailed result

Matt Hardy has new, long tights.  Jeff had full face paint on, and Matt was trash talking him as soon as he got in the ring.  Jeff slapped Matt and the bell rang.  Jeff hit some punches and Matt fell to the floor.  Jeff reached under the ring for a Wrestlemania sign and broke it over Matt’s head.  Jeff pulled out a trash can, but Matt kicked Jeff in the gut and he dropped it.  Jeff blocked a shot into the steps and rammed Matt head first into them.  Jeff then launched himself off the steps into Matt with a leg lariat.  Jeff grabbed a chair as Matt rolled into the ring.  Jeff went for a chair launch, but Matt moved and Jeff crashed in the corner.  Jeff hit a back elbow and went for a Whisper In The Wind, but Matt grabbed the chair and blasted Jeff with it.  Matt hit a chairshot, then bent Jeff over the top rope.  Matt grabbed a Shopvac from under the ring and blasted Jeff with it, then covered him for a two count.  Matt rammed Jeff in a corner, but Jeff kicked him. Jeff walked into a Side Effect on a chair from Matt for a two count. 

Matt kicked Jeff in the gut, then punched him in a corner and stood on his throat.  Matt stretched Jeff around the ringpost, pulling on his arm and leg. Matt set up a table at ringside.  Matt went for a suplex off the apron, but Jeff blocked it.  Jeff knocked Matt to the floor, then jumped off the apron and clotheslined Matt on the floor. Jeff hit a mule kick to send Matt backwards into the steep steps.  Jeff pulled out a kendo stick and a crutch, hitting Matt with the stick as Matt rolled into the ring.  Jeff tossed in a trash can, put it over Matt’s head, then bashed it with a metal crutch.  Matt slumped in the corner, and Jeff hit the elevated kick into the trash can.  Jeff covered Matt for a two count.  Jeff hit a gourdbuster, then went to the top rope for a swanton, but missed.  Matt kicked Jeff in the gut and hit the Twist Of Fate for a two count.  Matt went to the top rope, calling for a swanton, but Jeff met him there and hit a superplex.  Jeff blasted Matt with a chairshot, and Matt rolled to the floor.

Jeff laid Matt on the table at ringside, then put a chair on top of him.  Jeff went under the ring, and pulled out another table. Jeff opened the other table and placed it on top of the first, with Matt and the chair stuck between them.  Jeff went to the top rope, and jumped off with a splash, crashing through both tables and driving Matt into the floor.  Jeff rolled Matt into the ring for a cover, but Matt put his foot on the bottom rope.  Jeff tossed a chair into the ring, then went for a pair of ladders under the ring and tossed them in.  Jeff set up the chair, then jumped off it into a legdrop on Matt.  Jeff set up one of the ladders, which was huge, then set up a slightly smaller one next to it. Jeff climbed the small ladder, then boosted himself over the larger one and went for a legdrop, but Matt rolled out of the way and Jeff crashed into the mat. Matt put Jeff’s head through the opening of a unfolded steel chair and gave him a Twist of Fate, crushing his head in the chair, for the pin at the fourteen minute mark.Matt

Hardy vs Hardy, jeff vs Matt @ Wrestlemania 25/2009 / xxv

Well, its almost certain now that Matt and Jeff Hardys will settle their score at the grandest stage of them all. It will be like a revenge match. But I could see some form of interference in that match. Might be Christian … That would keep these two guys fighting for the rest of the year.

WWE World Title NO WAY OUT elimination Chamber spoiler prediction : Edge vs Undertaker vs HHH vs Kozlov vs Big Show vs Jeff Hardy

Well, again, i think Edge would steel this one… This time in a more majestic way… look back at his clean win against Rey Mysterio at No Way Out 2008.. So perfect way for Edge to headline wrestlemania. 

I look at it, this way… the final three would be Edge vs HHH vs Kozlov… HHH would shock the world eliminating Kozlov and eat a spear upon turning back.. and Edge would put down HHH … 

The elimination could be this way… Undertaker would eliminate the big show.. Then Taker might give a chokeslam to Kozlov and turn around to a spear.. or Taker may put Show or Kozlov in Hell’s Gate and eat a swaton bomb or the Kozlov head butt.. any way this is damn interesting, some 6 guys in top push are facing each other.. .

 

Jeff would be eliminated by Kozlov..  I would love to see christian cage interfering here..

Jeff Hardy wins Undertaker and HHH before Survivor Series

Jeff hardy gains all the momentum in the world winning undertaker and HHH in a back to back week Smackdown and got a shot at HHH world title at the survivor series… Will he finally utilise the momentum he generates or will it be yet another wasted push ?
