Aalavanthan = Most intelligent screen play among the Indian movies I have ever seen 🙂 !! But there are a lot of misconceptions in the movie about how and WHEN exactly the hallucination starts for Nandhu !! and When he actually becomes (half) mad (or what ever u can call that) and why !!! The poems ?! This video answers all ..
1) He enters his diary as “Anbulla Diary” and now that changes to “Anbulla Amma”
2) Although he was realizing his mom is dead earlier, this is exactly that part of the movie where he tends to treat his mom as alive as well “Naanum en thaayum mattum uyir jeevigal, uyar jeevigal” line
3) When his dad dies, he was looking them as dead ones, where in his hallucination completes its shape as a ‘temporary’ hallucination
4) His ‘dead’ mom is telling him poems in his hallucination; which is nothing but he reads them and hallucinate it as something as him mom telling … he might have continued it all the way to be the poet that he was…
5) The last things that happen are the belt shots to him aimed at ‘killing him’ !! what more his dad is dead the same moment he was afraid he could be killed… striking a clear fear/message to his young brain
6) Bottle shot to the side of a bald head, entire weight of a human falling on him and he falling on ceiling at the back of his head – sufficient for brain damage ? is not it !!
7) And not the least, the final words of some one he killed on his ears when he already started hallucinating, with his brain damaged — sufficient for a new hallucination ?!!
and yeah, he started the trademark sniffing 🙂 “en veedu, en ulagam” phrase… are just bonus 🙂 !
1) Lesser Multi starers .. The promoters might find it tough to promote a movie to a place where the people does not know the hero. Keeping the location of the movie as diff place also be done
2)No Frequent interviews, blogs, tweets etc.. only when movie releaes, during festive time they will give interview.
3)if u ask our current generation top hero (Vijay, Ajith and after movies like ayan, aadhavan singam surya joins them) what is ‘experiment’, they will its something done in chemistry lab… Rajni is still busy chasing heroines and falling in love, went to refuse to play dad role when supposingly his fav dir asked him to do so(Jaggubhai) and now Kamal also says he is going to do a romantic movie (after 17-18 years) playing a guy in 30s.. WHY KAMAL WHY ? And if some director asks them to do negative roles, they will chase and kill that director..
4) When an odd experimental movie like Naan Kadavul or Airathil Oruvan or Anbae Sivam, Hey Ram comes, there is a separate set of reviewers who thrash the movies while bollywood reviewers just celebrate movies like MNIK…
{I did call them as EXPERIMENTAL Movies and not good movies or bad movies … u may like them or hate them, but cant refuse its different and experimental}
If what we hear is true, we may very well seeing the critically and commercially acclaimed team of Vettaiyadu Villaiyadu for its sequel. Yes, cloud nine has booked Gautham Menon for a movie and it could very well be a movie with the Universal Hero and would be the sequel of their previous blockbuster .

Ohhhh… Wait a minute, if what we hear is true, then the music director for the Kamal Haasan KS Ravikumar movie, to be produced by Udhayanithi Stalin for the Red Giant could very well be A R Rahman and not Harris Jayaraj as many have expected.
This could be a huge news for both , the music lovers and the Universal Hero devotees, to see these two legends join hands.
Further the heroine spot seems to be bringing a lot of twists, first people expected Tamanaah to play the lady lead then Nayanthara and then Trisha, but now it seems like KSR is pretty happy with Nayan’s work in Aadhavan and decided to rope her in.
It could be note worthy to mention that Kamal actually wanted to play the second heroine role in Vettaiyadu Villaiyadu itself but it was canceled as the dates did not match. Will they finally be singing duets now ?

Though, not yet confirmed, it would very well be Nayanthara who would be starring in Kamal Haasan’s next movie and not Tamanaah. Though it was thought it could be Tamanaah and went to an extent that Tamanaah was reserving her dates, but still it looks like the KSR Kamal team may not be interested in her as much as people thought.
Further, it could very well be Trisha as well, who was actually paired against him for Marmayogi. The dates that Kamal has got from her are still unused and could very well be used in this case.
As we have previously reported, Universal Hero Kamal Haasan next movie will be directed by K S Ravikumar and produced by Udhayanithi Stalin for his Red Giant Movies. the latest addition to the news is that, Udhayanithi will also be acting along side the greatness.
Universal Hero Kamal Haasan confirmed that his next project will be with his favorite director K S Ravikumar and Udhayanithi Stalin will be producing the movie for Red Giants.
Its to be noted that Udhayanithi Stalin is a big fan of the ‘Aandavar’. The project will be quickie and with mega budget .
If sources are to be believed then Tamannah would be playing the lead pair role.
After this movie , UNKH would take up Miskin project.
Released in lesser number of theatres and with absolutely no publicity or marketing, the movie, totally carried by the mass and star appeal of Kamal Haasan (despite his character is done in a week call sheet 🙂 ), is now settling down as a SUPER HIT..
Made in a very small budget, the movie has already (diwali) garnered 4.26 Crore at Chennai alone.. This is excluding the Mayajal where the movie had been said to made around another 1.5 C . In its long run the movie would end up with 5C at Chennai which would mean its a Blockbuster in chennai. The collections at B and C centers are also pretty decent so far and the movie has largely been considered and declared a SUPER HIT.
Thanks to Universal Hero Kamal Haasan for such an amazing experience at his 50th year in Cinema.. Very cautiously I avoided Tamil Cinema, for one reason, he is not just a hero at Tamil films, he is an well established actor with blockbuster in each of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and Bengali.. truely an Universal Hero..
